Maintenance
Maintenance is one of the necessary functions of a participation preschool. Each family is required to give their time in cleaning the school and maintaining the equipment. Through individual projects and work parties, our school is able to tackle major improvements or repairs with a minimum cost. Some of the projects in the past include building shelves, painting the boat, and thoroughly cleaning storage areas. Families are required to complete four maintenance hours each school year. Keep in mind that non-working parents are eligible to complete family maintenance hours.
There are two ways to complete your hours. You may sign up for a work party to complete large projects around the school or request to work on an individual project to be completed at your own time. A list of available projects and scheduled work parties will be provided during the school year.
